Flat painter in Tenerife: complete repainting of a home
Flat painting work in Tenerife on a home that needed a complete repaint: walls with old layers, ceilings marked by use and an aged finish that no longer covered evenly.
Context
Tenerife, interior home with well-used rooms, uneven light between rooms and walls repainted several times over the years.
Common challenge
Achieving a uniform, durable finish starting from walls with irregular absorption, visible small repairs and tone differences that could not be hidden without proper preparation.
What we usually do
- Full protection of floors, skirting boards, doors and furniture that could not be moved.
- Filling of knocks and fine cracks, repair of junctions and sanding to level the surfaces.
- Fixing primer on the most absorbent areas before painting.
- Two coats of washable plastic paint on walls and ceilings, with controlled drying between coats.
- Final room-by-room review to correct details before handover.
Usual materials and systems
- Fixing primer for absorbent surfaces
- High-coverage washable matt paint
- Fine interior renovation filler
Target result
The home is left with a clean, even and easy-to-maintain finish, with walls and ceilings ready for daily use and a light colour that makes the most of natural light.

Practical site notes
- In flats not painted for years, preparation is what makes the difference between a proper repaint and one with visible patches.
- Working in phases lets you keep living in the home while it is painted, organising rooms by order of use.
